The Indian Hypocrisy

A few months ago, Rhea Chakraborty was arrested, harassed, humiliated and imprisoned for her “Alleged” participation in the suicide of a Bollywood actor, Sushant Singh Rajput.

With no proof or anything whatsoever to tie her to the “Alleged murder”, she faced the unchanneled atrocities of almost every single person in the nation.

One person cried at the top of his voice, every single day for months. His name: Arnab Goswami.

Now, when he is suspected of having played a role in the suicide of Anvay Naik, the entire nation is supporting him with everything they have.

When Rhea Chakraborty was being held for unproven crime, everyone was absolutely convinced that she was a murderer.

Now, with Goswami being in the same situation, the entire country seems to have turned on its head.

The people who were determined to send Rhea Chakraborty to prison and even throw stones at her, are now sitting on the streets, protesting Goswami’s arrest.

Same situation. Different reaction.

Hypocrisy enough?

What’s even more interesting is, a news broadcaster was being arrested for his alleged role in a person’s death and the Home Minister of the nation lost his sleep.

Why is an idiotic news broadcaster who does nothing except shouting at the top of his voice, so important that Home Minister of the largest “Democracy” in the world is so adamant and determined to get him out of the thick soup?

None of them really came forward to support Rhea Chakraborty when she was being harassed by almost every person on the streets.

Do we treat people charged with same crimes differently based on their gender? Or is it just because of the influence or contacts they have in the BJP Government?

I had been under this impression that everyone is equal before the law.

I suppose I was wrong. Apparently, being a supporter of a certain political party plays a huge role in changing your appearance in the ‘Court of Law’.

    • The charges which came a month later after her arrest and public harrassment for her “alleged” participation in unproven “Murder”.
      Get your memory corrected.

  1. Wow!!! The storyline sounds so familiar. We are at an awakening revolutionary moment in time!!! Do you sit on the couch and watch? Or do you become the resistance? I know my answer. Know yours too! Will be interested in following your writing!! Namaste!๐Ÿฆ‹๐Ÿ•Š

  2. Get your facts straight, Rhea was accused by 3 agencies CBI, Narcotics & ED
And Narcotic proved that she was into drugs, And she is been charged under NCB act.. So itโ€™s not at all the same case… Arnab was not the girlfriend of the person committed suicide.. So think Logically..Itโ€™s a complete different angle.

    • So what are you saying?
Arnab didn’t do anything wrong because he wasn’t the girlfriend?
Only girlfriends play a role in any person’ suicide?
Is that what you are saying?
      And about Narcotics.
Remind me again, where did it all begin?
People like you are far far away from logic!

  3. I disagree with you. Arnab reveals the truth unlike some other journalists and he does not shout nonsense at the top of his lungs. It was completely wrong of you to call him โ€˜idioticโ€™. The Maharashtra Police canโ€™t just barge into his house and drag him away for a case that had been closed in 2018. As for Rhea Chakraborty, she herself admitted that she had procured drugs for Sushant through her brother, Showbik Chakraborty. She confessed to NCB and named some parties where such drugs were being consumed. Arnab Goswami was illegally arrested and taken to the Taloja jail like a terrorist. Iโ€™m glad to see that Arnab has been released at last; he deserves all the support that he got from the Indians all over the world.
